Amatheon Agri Uganda Ltd (AAU) was founded in 2013 to establish large-scale commercial farming operations in Nwoya District, north-western Uganda. Since then, it has developed more than 3,000 hectares for rain-fed cropping activities and successfully engages more than 1,800 smallscale farmers through its Outgrower Programme.
AAU is part of the Amatheon Agri Group – a European agribusiness and food company headquartered in Germany and operating in Sub- Saharan Africa. Focusing on farming, trading and food processing, Amatheon integrates its activities along the agricultural value chain and invested more than US$100 million in sub-Sahara Africa. The intern will support the Sustainable Development Manager in daily activities and duties. The Sustainable Development department is responsible for the company’s social due diligence, environmental compliance, community engagement, communications and overall sustainability strategy.

Amatheon Agri is looking for an intern / work student who wants to get experiences in the work of an international agrifood company. We are looking for an all-rounder who brings knowledge and passion in the topics of agricultural production, food quality and logistics. We offer exciting insights into the work of Amatheon’s different departments, all linked with our operations across Africa!
The candidate should currently be studying e.g. food technology, food security, biologist, agricultural sciences, or similar, and should be highly organised and capable of working with minimal supervision.
