High-level delegation visits Real Meat Africa to honour most significant European industries in Zambia

As part of the “European Month” celebrations held throughout the month of May a high-level delegation consistent of the Zambian Minister of Agriculture, Honourable Michael Z .J. Katambo, H.E. Jacek Jankowski, Ambassador of the European Union to Zambia and COMESA, the German Ambassador to Zambia H.E. Ms Anne Wagner-Mitchel and other governmental officials visited one of the 17 local stores of Real Meat Africa to appreciate the substantial investment that has been made into the Zambian economy. At the same time, the delegation honoured Amatheon Agri’s long-term commitment to uplift the agricultural production in Zambia since ten years and highlighted the company’s financial injections into the rural economies.

During the visit led by founder and CEO of Amatheon Agri, Mr. Carl Heinrich Bruhn, Hon. Katambo praised Real Meat’s and Amatheon Agri’s significant investments into the meat and agricultural processing industry. “Having built the entire value chain in-country shows the long-term commitment both companies follow to add value to Zambia”, Hon. Katambo says.

 

“We are thrilled that we have been selected to contribute to the European Month celebrations as one of the largest European companies in Zambia”, said Bruhn. “Corporate partnerships that express trade and investment between the EU and Zambia are the key to  unlock the country’s potential”.

The ceremony was part of an EU-led initiative showcasing the biggest EU companies that have invested in various industries in Zambia. The visit has been recorded by a media team and will be used as an example for successful EU-investments into Zambia. Watch the video here.
